By Caroline Petrow-Cohen, Los Angeles TimesLOS ANGELES — Hollywood Hills resident Andrew Rudick is on a mission.Over the last three years, he’s submitted public records requests, retrieved case documents from the Los Angeles County Superior Court, spoken at City Council meetings and corresponded with government officials. He’s determined to get Donald Trump’s star removed from the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It’s not an easy task.“The reasonably conveyed message to the millions who have walked past that plaque since 2021 is the city’s endorsement of a man who attempted a coup against the United States,” Rudick said at a Los Angeles City Council meeting earlier this month.Although multiple City Council members said they do not support the former president and would like to see his star removed, nobody knows exactly how to make that happen. Monthly payments for child care were 32% higher in September than the pre-pandemic average, according to an analysis by the Bank of America Institute of the lender’s customer data. There are ripple effects to the wider economy from the child care squeeze: Families shelling out for this service have been...More rain for Bay Area set to arrive as waves continue to thrash the coast

I’ll be good for this game.”That doesn’t mean general manager John Lynch isn’t paying close attention.During his weekly appearance on the 49ers’ flagship KNBR, Lynch talked about his own issues with stingers as a hard-hitting safety that led to his exit from Tampa Bay following the 2003 season at age 32.“That was kind of at the core,” Lynch said. “I had gone 11 years in Tampa . . . and they became regular to the point where I had to have neck surgery.
